Editorial Standards

Healthy Golden Gems focuses on Current Health News Explained—timely, readable coverage grounded in authoritative sources.

What we publish

  • Explanations of current health news from agencies such as the CDC, FDA, NIH, WHO, and USDA (including food safety recalls).
  • Context that helps readers understand what changed, who is affected, and what is still unknown.

What we do not publish

  • Individualized medical advice, diagnoses, or treatment recommendations.
  • Rewritten versions of other publishers’ articles.
  • Exaggerated claims about studies or drug effectiveness.
  • Invented quotes, statistics, experts, or citations.

Sources

We prioritize primary sources (official announcements, datasets, and peer-reviewed papers). Each article includes a Sources section with URLs and publication dates for fact checking.

We clearly label:

  • Confirmed — stated by an official agency or established guideline.
  • Preliminary — early data or research that may change.
  • Interpretation — plain-language explanation that goes beyond quoting a press release, while staying faithful to the evidence.

Human review

Automated tools may assist with monitoring and drafting. No health article is published without human review and approval.

Corrections

If we make a factual error, we correct it promptly and note significant corrections on the article when appropriate.

Advertising & conflicts

If we accept sponsorship or affiliate relationships in the future, we will disclose them clearly and keep editorial decisions independent. (Update this section when relevant.)
